SRYSA reminds parents of deadline for spring sports registration
The Sunnyvale Raiders Youth Sports Association is reminding parents that the deadline to register for spring baseball, softball and lacrosse is quickly approaching.
Families must complete registration by December 31 to ensure their children can participate in the upcoming spring season. SRYSA officials encourage parents not to wait until the final days, as teams and divisions are formed shortly after the deadline.
In addition to spring sports, SRYSA officials said registration for youth volleyball will be opening soon, while soccer registration remains open through early January. Parents are encouraged to check the association’s website regularly for updated registration timelines and sport-specific details.
“In many instances, youth sports are where kids make their very first friends. Growing up in Sunnyvale, I had the opportunity to play tee-ball and soccer, but it was always on a team with kids from different schools and different cities,” said Ross Miracle, SRYSA President.
“SRYSA, on the other hand, allows neighbors to play on the same team, as well as allowing them to grow up Raiders well before joining middle school teams. Although my oldest’s time in SRYSA may be coming to a close, I hope he will carry these cherished memories with him for a lifetime,” added Miracle.
SRYSA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides community-focused youth sports opportunities for boys and girls in Sunnyvale. The league is open to all Sunnyvale residents as well as students enrolled in Sunnyvale ISD, offering young athletes of varying skill levels the opportunity to participate.
Led entirely by dedicated volunteers, SRYSA emphasizes more than just competition. League organizers say the program focuses on teaching fundamental skills, teamwork, sportsmanship and character development while creating a fun and supportive environment for players and families.
Beyond athletic development, SRYSA aims to build lifelong friendships and foster a strong sense of community. Coaches and volunteers work to ensure that players learn the value of commitment, respect and perseverance both on and off the field.
Parents seeking more information about registration, age divisions or volunteer opportunities can visit www.srysa.org, where online registration is available.
With multiple registration deadlines approaching, SRYSA officials encourage families to sign up soon to secure a spot for their athletes.
